AO Item Assistant is a program you run while you play Anarchy Online. The program keeps track of all your backpacks and their contents, including your inventory and bank. The result is stored in a local database that is searchable even when not playing Anarchy Online.
The database contains all items registered on all toons you have played while the program was running. This means you can check which character holds a certain item even if you are playing a completely different character at the moment.
Additional plugins add functionality such as pocket boss pattern matching and player shop monitoring.
This program will in no manner change the data stream between the Anarchy Online client and server. No intercepted traffic will be sent to any external servers, and is kept local in all respects.
There is a known issue running version 0.8.4 and earlier versions of
this application under WIndows Vista. It will give you an error message
during startup unless you run it in compatibility mode as
Windows XP SP2.
Version 0.9.0 and later should work for both Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Item Assistant makes use of some external internet servers. If you choose to block the application from accessing the internet it will continue working, but with a reduced featureset.
